Our Take

The important detail is in the name: it’s hook-backed, so it needs a velcro panel — it will not thread onto MOLLE webbing. If your rig has loop fields, this is a cheap way to carry two spares. At 40 g and zero moving parts, it does one thing; just remember the velcro grip is the entire retention system. If your rig is all webbing with no loop field, buy the MOLLE version instead; making this one stay put on plain webbing takes work.
